Misty day.

Worked hard on trenches.

5 men of “C” Coy

when searching in front of our Trenches

found an unexploded aerial torpedo &

carried it back to a dugout

but someone interfered with it

& it exploded killing 5 men who were there.

Relieved at 8 pm by 2nd Monmouthshire Regt & Battalion

marched to VARENNES. Fine. Quiet relief.
